How EditorMint makes money, and why it doesn't change what we recommend.

How we make money

EditorMint is reader-supported. When you click a link on this site and sign up for or purchase a product we've reviewed, we may earn an affiliate commission from that company. This is how we keep the site free to read.

Commission does not cost you anything extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the vendor.

Editorial independence

A partner paying us commission has no bearing on their star rating, ranking order, or how favorably we write about them. Our testing methodology is applied the same way to every product, whether or not it's part of an affiliate program.

  • We've given lower scores to tools that pay us well

  • We've given higher scores to tools that pay us nothing

  • No company can pay to be listed, ranked higher, or reviewed favorably

FTC compliance (US)

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, we clearly and conspicuously disclose material connections, including affiliate relationships, wherever they exist on this site, close to the relevant links rather than buried in a footer.

ASA / CAP Code (UK)

For readers in the United Kingdom, this site follows the Advertising Standards Authority's (ASA) CAP Code requirements around identifying affiliate marketing content. Where content includes affiliate links, that relationship is disclosed in a way that's obvious before you engage with the link, not just in small print elsewhere on the page.

In short: if a link on EditorMint earns us money, we tell you, near the link, not just here.
